In 2016, I came cross a highly skilled physiotherapist, working with disabled people in the pool. She had discovered a technique of using the body, to exercise in a way which was promoted by Norman Doige. Called the Feldenkrais technique, it was a system designed by a Russian genius Born in 1904. He developed this technique to help rehabilitate his own broken body. Feldenkrais assigned exercises to make people aware of errors in their movement, which although minute, caused problems in their musculo-skeletal systems. I learned, that by lifting my left leg by the hip instead of by lower extremities, I could walk without dragging my foot or scraping my toe on each step as I walked upwards. It was a breakthrough!
